Outer Banks!
My two little studs!
What a life!
Hubba hubba baby!
We just got back from a family vacation to Outer Banks and we had so much fun. We were able to rent a beach house with five other families and it was really fun getting to know them and make some new friends. The kids loved going to the beach the best. Brody loved playing in the waves while Corbin was content playing in the sand the whole time. Little Brinley had it the best by sleeping in the shade a lot of the time. How nice would that be. Unfortunately the vacation had to end and it was time to go home. We left in the evening hoping the kids would sleep most of the time since it was a very long drive. The plan kind of worked out but not quite the way we had hoped. Corbin threw up an hour into the drive, Brody had some random pain full earache that was keeping him awake, I was feeling the affects of a bad cold starting and Jared's eyes had swollen to twice their normal size by 1:00 in the morning. Luckily Brinley made it OK. The kids did eventually fall asleep but it was after a lot of tears. I think we will think twice before doing that again although the trip was well worth it.

Brody's First Day of School
What a handsome little stud!
Getting on the bus! This picture below is when we went for orientation and he was able to see his classroom before school started.
I cannot believe Brody is now in Kindergarten. He is growing up way too fast. I am so proud of him though. On his first day he was not even nervous at all he was just really excited. I was the nervous wreck. I did not cry at all but I did feel a little nauseous. Watching him get on the bus was really hard and then I felt like I held my breath the whole time he was gone and then was finally able to really breathe again when he got off the bus at the bus stop after school. I knew he would be OK but I couldn't help it. He loves Kindergarten and his teacher a lot. He has already made friends in his class and even has his first little crush. (AHHH!) Ready or not the real world is here!

My Dad!
My dad and my step-mom were able to come out and spend some time with us and see little Brinley for the first time. It didnt take too long for her to work her charm and wrap them around her little finger like the rest of us. We had such a good time showing them some sights and playing games. It was hard to see them go.

Yo Marion!
Brody and Corbin showing off their inner Rocky.
Here they are in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art after they have just ran up the famous Rocky stairs.
We don't make it to Philadelphia very often ( or should I say the kids and I ) so we went there when Jared's brother Jacob and his wife Linsey came to town. It was fun showing them where we live since this was their first time here. This part of Philly is actually pretty awesome. Other parts not so much.

Yummy Yummy
Here Brinley is trying rice cereal for the first time. Yummy!
It's about time she can eat something besides milk and by the looks of her I would say she enjoyed it.

Finally!

A couple of weeks before Brody turned 2 years old he started having Febrile and Complex-Partial Seizures. He was hospitalized because his Febrile Seizure lasted longer that normal and they wanted to run some tests to make sure he was not Epileptic. He was put on medication and had to stay on it until he was seizure free for 2 years. That time has finally come and after one last EEG he is finally off of his meds. We are so glad and hopefully those days are completely behind us.

Brody's 1st Sleepover!
Brody was able to have his very first sleepover at his friend Jacob Jackmans house last night. I couldn't even tell him about it until the day before because I knew he would be asking me every hour on the hour how much longer it would be till he could go, which he did. It sounds like they had a blast and it was a fun filled night of Transformers, Transformers and more Transformers.
